Covid-19 Virus

To All Our Patients

As one of our valued patients, you know your health is our priority and how important it is for us at Flawless Feet to ensure you feel safe and happy coming to see one of our podiatrists.  At this time of heightened sensitivity around public health, we wanted to let you know some of the measured and informed practices we have in place across our clinics to ensure you feel safe and comfortable at our practices in light of the COVID 19 virus.

We have everything in place to protect you and us so that we can treat your feet in a safe environment. We have listened to the Government’s and our College of Podiatry’s advice on new working practices that will reduce the risk of transmitting the coronavirus.

Foot problems haven’t stopped occurring, toenails have kept growing and our ethos to care is still here- wanting to look after our patients. It has been a difficult two months not seeing everyone (although we have all enjoyed the sunny days!).

What we have for you-

  • Our podiatrists will be wearing all the appropriate PPE, including aprons, gloves and face masks.
  • We will be deep cleaning the clinic every day.
  • Disinfecting the clinic between patients.
  • Plastic shielding at the reception desk.
  • Hand gel for you to use as you enter and leave the clinics.
  • Face masks for you to purchase, or you can bring your own.
  • We have made our appointment times longer so that there will be less chance of people waiting.
  • Our experience. We are skilled healthcare professionals and we have been cleaning, sterilising and working safely for years. We are very confident that we can provide you with a safe environment.
  • Our care. We will be asking you how you are and how you are feeling. If we have any concerns about your general health we will assess and advise.
  • Our reassurance. If any of our team becomes poorly and you have visited the clinic, we will, of course, inform you.
  • Online booking, contactless payment or, if you would rather not move that close, you can read out your payment details to us to key into the machine.

What you need to do-

  • Do NOT come if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please call and we will rearrange your appointment, with no charge to you.
  • Bring a face mask to wear whilst at the clinic, otherwise one can be provided to you at a cost of £1.
  • Wait outside the clinic and we will call you straight into the treatment room.
  • Please don’t bring friends or family into the clinic with you, if you require assistance please call and we come and collect you from your car if needs be.

As always, all of our equipment is sterilised for every individual patient and our podiatrists will continue to be wearing gloves throughout your treatment, these are changed for each new patient.  Our podiatrists and receptionists will be washing their hands thoroughly on a regular basis throughout the day.  Our clinics are all thoroughly cleaned at the start of the day and at the end of the day, clinic spaces and reception areas will also be wiped down throughout the day.  We will ensure that hand sanitiser is available at all of our clinics and we kindly ask you to ensure you make sure you use some before seeing your podiatrist.

We ask that if you feel unwell, have a persistent cough or have recently arrived to the UK from abroad please call us ahead of your appointment.  We may ask you to rebook the following week or in two weeks time. Please try and give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to another patient if needs be.

Finally we ask that you arrive on time for your appointment but not too early to avoid waiting in our waiting areas for too long.  If your appointment is at our Sydenham clinic, can you please ensure that you visit the bathroom prior to arriving as this is a home based clinic and we will not be able to take you into the main house to use the facilities.

While there is no way to make sure we (or anywhere!) is a completely risk free environment, we are doing all that we can to ensure our patients and staff are kept as safe as possible.  We will continue to follow government and W.H.O. guidelines and will update our procedures according to the latest advice.
